For almost twenty years, George Kalogridis has been active in the field
of Certified Organics --
first as a farmer and broker in the fresh produce market, then as Vice
President of Grower Operations for Earth's Best Baby Food. During that
time George was responsible for the first-ever USDA approved "Organic"
label. He has run his own Organic Sourcing Company since 1993.
George has served on the Board of Directors for the Organic Trade
Association (OTA). He has chaired the following: The Manufacturing,
Processing, Packaging & Labeling Subcommittee, the GMO
Subcommittee, and the Trading & Ingredients Suppliers Subcommittee.
He was also a member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Organic Standards of
the Florida Department of Agriculture.
George currently serves on OTA's Quality Assurance Committee,
Government Affairs Subcommittee and the Organic Ingredient Supplier
Forum.
